It is the end of a long two and a half year battle for members of the Craigmillar community with 18 months of that spent in the courts when the few residents finally managed to convince the council to go to court. We are told that the journey to court was started by an EdSucks favourite, Ewan Aitken. For that kudos are deserved.
The hearing for an interdict to stop Paul Nolan, his thugs and his cronies was to take place this morning but just before the Council Solicitor packed his bags to head over to the court, a sheepish Nolan surrounded by the same thugs and cronies all trapsed into the Council Solicitor’s office and said they were not going to defend the case….. and there’s more.
The Court of Session has today declared that the groups ‘election’ in the Craigmillar Community Council which was held last June was illegal in a 28 minute Judicial Review.
